We are offering free guided tours of the former Calumet Air Force Station all through the summer and fall of 2023. Our knowledgeable guides will walk you through the entire site while explaining the history of this Cold War radar site and the role it played protecting America. You will be able to see most of the buildings on the property, including the original housing areas, the bunker, and one of the radar towers.

The entire path of the tour is about a mile long and will take approximately an hour and a half to complete. Most of the path is paved roadway but there are a couple sections of grass paths as well as a moderately steep hill towards the end. There is one optional stop on the tour that requires you to climb a ladder, but you are more than welcome to skip this section if you wish.

Some things to bring:

• Comfortable close-toed shoes
• Water bottle
• Camera
• Appropriate clothes for the weather (it can get windy up here)

Dogs are welcome on the tour, we just ask that you please keep them on a leash. There are also a few areas you will not be able to take them on the tour, so keep that in mind.
